Summertime Stoke From the Renoun Team

At Renoun, Kyle Varian, director of growth marketing, and Jennifer Freas, chief marketing officer, spend their winters deep in the ski scene: testing skis, chasing snow, and keeping up with all things Renoun. But when the lifts stop spinning, these two don’t sit still.
The marketing duo welcome the change of season and focus their outdoor pursuits on summer adventures. Whether it’s a casual hike, a garden project, or a bucket-list concert, Kyle and Jennifer find their own ways to engage with their environment while they wait for winter to roll back around.
For Jennifer, who is based in northern California, that means hiking and beach days, sometimes even within the same day. Her favorite trail weaves through the redwoods, climbs wildflower-covered hills, and ends with sweeping views of the Pacific. The final destination: Stinson Beach. And after logging the miles, you’ll find her at Parkside Cafe for a well-earned drink and lunch.
Kyle splits her summer between travel, concerts, and weekend hikes in Pisgah National Forest, just down the road from her home in North Carolina. This summer she’s hitting the road for family visits, a trip to California for the Dead & Company 60th anniversary tour, and a long-awaited Neil Young concert.
When she’s not at a show, Kyle tends a small vegetable garden and her collection of houseplants—mostly Monsteras and fiddle leaf figs, though she admits, “I can kill cacti pretty easily.” Hiking is also a regular weekend ritual. Anything less than a two-hour round trip is “just a casual walk,” but with waterfalls, rivers, and creeks flowing through Pisgah Forest, there’s always a reason to get out.
Whether it’s a mountain trail or a packed concert venue, Kyle and Jennifer have summer well dialed. It’s proof that stoke doesn’t have to be season dependent.
