With the terrible snow conditions thus far this ski season in the west, my time has been limited to 3 days so far, but those three days were phenomenal! It always takes a day or two to get new equipment "dialed" in for me.
I have been on Elan Wingman 86 for the last two seasons; I took them with me the first day on the new Atlas 80"s . I quickly got "in the groove" with the Atlas 80's, and they are every bit the great experience I was hoping for! Needless to say, with the present conditions, "ice cube", the Atlas 80's held great edge control on the ice. A zillion years ago, I had a pair of Head Killy 800 skis, I have always thought they were the best I have owned over the years, but the Atlas 80's are "top pick" now!

I found the skis to be very fast edge to edge which really helped keep my rhythm in the bumps and they were extremely quiet carving turns at speed. Great skis I'm sticking with this talented company!

I bought the Atlas 80 with the Marker Griffon 13 ID bindings in August. It was a long, long wait until our January/February ski trip. I now have 5-days on the mountain with this combo spread out over Crested Butte, Telluride, and Steamboat (sorry for the somewhat limited use, but the A80’s have to compete with a couple of other beloved skis for mountain time). Anyway, the A80’s are a great carving ski! They have held every hard, icy morning groomer on the mountain. Flawless performance! When things have softened up in the afternoon, the A80 turns into a solid all-mountain performer. The G13 ID bindings are what you would expect with a Marker binding…outstanding performance that you don’t even really think about!
With 7 ski days left in our trip, the A80’s are screaming for disproportionate mountain time!
