Citadel 107: Top Honors from Forbes & High Praise from Powder Mag

In an achievement that speaks to its exceptional versatility, our  Citadel 107  has earned recognition from two publications with respected voices and devout readers. Forbes has named Citadel 107 the "Best 50/50 Ski," while Powder Magazine featured it in an extensive review - a rare dual acknowledgment that confirms our innovative approach to ski design.

Being featured in Powder, the self-proclaimed “skier’s magazine,” is the recognition we’re proud to see in print. Their in-depth review praised the ski as "one of the most unique crossover-style skis" tested this year, highlighting its lightweight design and outstanding versatility

The magazine's technical assessment particularly noted the ski's superior floating capability, emphasizing that it "floats better than most 107mm-waisted skis, thanks to the tip shape that allows the ski to plane above the snow effortlessly."

Simultaneously, Forbes recognized the Citadel 107 as "the most stable carbon ski, ever" in their review of top performance ski picks for 2025. This accolade specifically acknowledges our achievement in solving a fundamental challenge in ski design: creating a lightweight ski that doesn't compromise stability.

Forbes' experts were particularly impressed by our innovative and patented VibeStop™ technology, which breaks the traditional paradigm that stability requires weight.

What makes this dual recognition particularly significant is how it recognizes the Citadel 107's performance across different terrain. Powder's technical review confirms its standout performance in varied conditions, while Forbes' honor acknowledges its revolutionary technology and versatility as a 50/50 ski.

The Citadel 107's  VibeStop™ technology , praised by both publications, represents a true breakthrough in ski design. This proprietary material smooths out vibrations, creating a superior riding experience across all conditions - from choppy terrain to hardpack. The ski becomes more responsive the harder you push it, offering a unique adaptive performance that caters to your riding style. (In other words, no more chatter.)

With dimensions of 136-107-124 and available lengths from 163cm to 184cm, the Citadel 107 is designed for skiers who are seeking flexibility and dependability both inbounds and in the backcountry. As Powder noted, it's particularly well-suited for locations with light, fluffy powder, making it an excellent choice for skiers in Colorado, the Alps, or even the East Coast.

This recognition from both Forbes and Powder reinforces our commitment to pushing the boundaries of ski design and technology. We’re excited to offer a truly versatile ski that excels in both resort and backcountry settings.

The Citadel 107 has been a popular model among our customers this year, so be sure to check them out while they’re still in stock.

EDIT: Shortly after publishing this post, we were notified that the Citadel 107 received high praise from the review team at American Snow Magazine. In the recent article, author Cash Lambert highlighted the 107s lightness, "playfulness," and stability while cutting through deep snow out West. He ranked the 107 #1 on his list for best powder skis (and our all-mountain Endurance line ranked #2 for its versatility).  We're pleased to learn that the Citadel 107 is his "go-to" ski on powder days (it's out go-to, too).
