Renoun Pays It Forward

Every year, National Pay It Forward Day is a reminder that small actions can create a bigger ripple effect. At Renoun, we believe one of the best ways to pay it forward is by making sure great skis keep doing what they’re built to do: helping people get out on snow.

That idea is part of how we think about gear, community, and the long life of a well-made ski.

At the end of every season, we proudly donate a portion of pre-owned skis to charity partners nationwide. This organization's mission focuses on empowering people of all abilities through inclusive sports and recreational programming, regardless of ability to pay. Their programs center around wellness and training options for those with a wide range of disabilities. 

When we launched RenounPro, we wanted to include a perk that would tie back to our passion for sharing the stoke and fostering community. Through RenounPro, members get access to SwapAnytime™, a perk that makes it easier to switch into the right skis for the season ahead. But what happens to those previously used skis matters, too. Rather than letting quality gear sit unused, we work with charitable partners around the country who can put those skis back into motion, supporting organizations that use donated equipment for adaptive sports programs or ski lessons. (Members have the option to select which charity their skis are donated to.)

It’s a simple idea with real impact. Skis that have already carried one skier through countless turns can go on to open the door for someone else.

Skiing is a powerful, multi-layered experience. It builds confidence, connection, resilience, and joy. Access to the sport, however, is not always easy. Equipment is expensive, and for many athletes, students, and adaptive skiers, the right gear can make all the difference.

That’s why donating used skis is about more than clearing space in your garage. It’s about extending the life of premium equipment and helping it reach people and programs that truly need it.

For Renoun, this is one more way to support a healthier ski culture that values performance, access, stewardship, and community.

When those swapped skis are donated, the value of that exchange grows. Instead of ending with one skier, the story continues with the next person who clicks in.

At Renoun, we like to consider the long game. With each ski model, we’re factoring in how to make better skis, create better experiences, and contribute to a stronger ski community. Supporting donation pathways for used skis is one small but important part of that.

On Pay It Forward Day, we’re proud to recognize the organizations helping expand access to skiing through adaptive programming and lessons and proud that Renoun gear can play a role in that mission.

Paying it forward doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like a used pair of skis, a new opportunity, and a better day on snow for someone else.
