Marker Griffon X MWERKS 13
Low profile, more responsive
This performance freeride binding is optimized for advanced riders. The housing of the TP Elite X toe is made from a single cast. This makes it even lighter, more compact and therefore more stable than traditional Marker Griffon bindings. The anti-ice rail is more robust than ever, thanks to the new alloy. What truly sets the Griffon X MWERKS 13 apart is the incredibly direct power transmission made possible by the integrated brake, allowing a stand height of 14 mm instead of the previous 24 mm. On the new TP Elite X toe, the stand height is an impressive 9 mm. This gives the best snow-feel in the market and allows the ski- and VibeStop™ to perform more naturally thanks to the compact design.

GripWalk
These bindings are GripWalk compatible. Meaning they only work with boots that are also GripWalk compatible. GripWalk is a standardized under-boot grip system used by almost all modern boot manufacturers to improve the quality of movement on slippery terrain while walking, and helps standardize binding toe heights across the industry. The Marker Griffon X MWERKS do not have a multi-norm, adjustable AFD in the toe and therefore will not work with boots designed before GripWalk standardization.
Which binding is right for me?
In general, the Marker Griffon 13 X MWERKS bindings are perfect for all but the most aggressive skiers. They're great for cruising groomers, zipping a bump line and trees and bowls. If you're an aggressive skier and find your feet are leaving the ground on any given run (on purpose!) then take a look at the Pivot 14.
Bindings are a personal choice (just like skis) so if you have another preference, you should go for it. Getting a more "advanced" binding never hurts, they just weigh a little more.
