Behind The Artwork
The 10th anniversary Z-90’s distinctive graphics are a striking new direction from Renoun’s typical geometric patterns. Designer Richard Morin, who created the original Renoun Endurance artwork a decade ago, found inspiration for the Z-90 in cosmic imagery, molecular alchemy, and natural phenomena.
The result is the organic golden swirls that flow along the ski’s topsheet. “I wanted to visualize the molecular alchemy of the VibeStop™ polymer in Renoun skis,” Morin says. “How a young skier with a dream eclipsed an industry, winning international awards with his first ski.” The resulting artwork is fluid, and, notes Renoun founder Cyrus, its beauty lies in the interpretation of the individual, as with any true artwork.
