The 2022 Marker Duke PT is built to feel just as ‘solid’ and ‘planted’ as a normal downhill binding, yet transforms into a capable touring binding when you’re ready to point it uphill.
Description
The Marker Duke PT 12 has all the downhill performance of a typical resort binding, but pop up the toe piece and you can go for a skin. Yes, all-in it's heaver than the Salomon Shift 13 (530g heavier per pair total) which is about the weight as a tall-boy beer so if weight is absolute paramount, then don't buy this binding. But, if you care more about the binding feeling 100% solid on the way down, then this is it. Removing the toepiece (and tossing it in your pack) cuts the amount of weight on your feet by 600g so technically in tour-mode the Duke PT is slightly lighter than the Salmon Shift 13.

What does WTR mean? This "Walk To Ride” (WTR) is a fancy way of saying these bindings work with every alpine boot in the world. The WTR version of the binding is simply a feature that enables the height of the surface that the toe of your boot sits on to be lowered or raised. This feature does not affect performance, it is purely to enable the binding to accept "Walk To Ride" (WTR) boots OR standard boots.
